We would like to apologize for the downtime earlier this afternoon. Our VPS company had suspended our service without any notice due to a misinterpretation regarding the billing information on their end. After supplying them with the appropriate information and proof of residency, they refused to discuss the matter and left our account closed. Due to the unexpected closure of the service and nature of this issue, we were not able to get any files off of it before the termination.
Luckily, our character files are designed to create a backup to our database automatically every 48 hours. Depending on when the company suspended our VPS, there will be a slight rollback (with a duration up to, but no longer than, 48 hours). After seeing how this incident has affected our community, we plan to decrease the 48 hour timer to something much smaller to protect us better in the future.
Thank you all for sticking with us and supporting our project through thick and thin, it means the world to us. We are very fortunate to never have experienced any issues like this in the past (roughly 15 months of up-time), protecting your character files are of utmost importance to us.
